Book a FacilityThe ground has been significantly upgraded to support events far beyond matchday. Here's what's in place:
Full 3-phase power supply already on site — capable of supporting large-scale events, commercial catering rigs, and production equipment. A large main stage would still need generators, but most event requirements are covered.
Brand new floodlighting installed in 2026, making the pitch fully operational for evening fixtures, training, and night-time events year-round.
Dedicated vendor connection points were laid alongside the pitch alongside the floodlight installation — ready for burger vans, food trucks, and pop-up traders at events.
Underground ducting for media and power cables integrated into the ground — supporting broadcast, live streaming, and large event production.
Secure perimeter fencing is being installed over summer 2026. Once complete, it will enable ticketed events, crowd management, and controlled access for large public gatherings.
A 100-seat covered spectator stand is being installed over summer 2026, providing sheltered viewing for supporters, VIP guests, and event audiences.
We're actively talking to event organisers now — our hire agreement and terms are being finalised this summer. If you're planning an event, now is the right time to get in touch.
Perimeter fencing and the covered stand are being installed over summer 2026. All other infrastructure — 3-phase power, vendor stations, media ducting, and floodlights — is already in place.

The Bigger Picture
Oban Lorne RFC sits within the wider Glencruitten and Mossfield area — a part of Oban with huge long-term potential for sport, community, and enterprise. There are significant opportunities across the whole site, and others in the area share that vision.
But we've always believed in concentrating on what we can control. Our focus is on our patch — making Oban Lorne RFC's ground the best it can be for rugby and for the community.
Sport is the anchor, but the ambition is bigger: a well-used, welcoming space that hosts events, brings people together, and supports local enterprise — one that we can genuinely be proud of.

Currently Fundraising
We're currently fundraising to completely redesign and rebuild the clubhouse at Oban Lorne RFC. The vision is a multi-use community sports and events hub — a facility that serves the club, the community, and the region for decades to come.
The current building has its function room upstairs, limiting access for many people. The new clubhouse will be on the lower floor — fully accessible, welcoming to everyone, and significantly larger than what we have today.
Beyond sport, the vision includes space for weddings, community groups, co-working, and local enterprise — with ambitions to create real employment opportunities in the area.
Get in touch to discuss availability, pricing, and what we can put together for you. We'd love to hear from you.
