Our Story

Oban Lorne RFC was founded in 1962

A relatively young club, but with lots of character and spirit!

With strong links with Oban High School’s School of Rugby, the club is now a thriving hub of rugby in the area. But did you know that in the early days, it was total chance that lead to the club’s iconic green and red jerseys that are worn by all age groups today?

Our Values

Inclusive

Rugby is for anyone and everyone, and has a great sense of togetherness.

Fun

From the mini's to the veterans, the game should be enjoyed, and we aim to have fun at OLRFC!

Respect

The wonderful game of rugby teaches us to respect each other on and off the field.

Special thanks to Stephen lawson Photography for the use of some of his fantastic photos

Safety first

We as a club take safety very seriously, so the game can be enjoyed by everyone. As well as player injuries, first aid, and Covid-19 procedures, we have a Child Protection Officer who you can contact confidentialy at any time if you have concerns. Lucy Stewart is the club’s CPO and is available to talk if you ever need to.
